WHY DO THE SKIN AGE ?

We all would like to keep our young looks forever, but it is inevitable we will age.

With time, cells renewal turnover slows down, the epidermis thickens because of dead cells accumulation, collagen fibers deteriorate in the dermis, the oil and sweat glands atrophy, slowing down the hydration process, gravity pulls soft tissues down, the skin starts wrinkling and relax.

The principal characteristics of an aging skin is mainly caused by Photo-Aging because of exposure to UVA/UVB's radiation, rather than normal aging.

The proof is that it affects mainly the face and hands, superficial and deep oxidation damages.

Unfortunately the negative impact of sun rays are accumulated since infancy.

If a dry skin affect people of every age, which is treatable, the aging or damages of the skin are also characterized by the following manifestations :
- wrinkles
- relaxed skin
- brown spots, freckles like, not dangerous but need monitoring
- dark brown spots that get thicker, could become cancerous
- great susceptibility to bruising especially on hands and forearms.

I do know ways to slow down the aging process but it is impossible to stop it, so the sooner you start a serious skin care the longer your skin will retain a healthy, youthful appearance.

It is never too late to get started in skin care maintenance to avoid further damages to the skin condition.

For example, when you're 70 years of age you'll be glad to have started as late as your 50ies.

Preventive skin care could and would make you look a good 10 years younger.

Later years, associated with some minors plastic surgery [sagging] it's a wrap!
