ANOTHER LOOSER SKIN CARE BEAUTY BLOG

Recently i came upon a blog reviewing an Eye Balm. The intro is like :

".... with age the wrinkles get worse, you know you have a problem when your under eyes is dry and wrinkled. I used just about everything in my kitchen to keep my delicate under eyes moisturize but even that is not enough....

The writer then proceeds to describe a well know product, that resembles vaseline but it's not [?] .... it will de-puff, moisturize, soothe, improve the wrinkles, protect, erase dark circles, give an intense shot of good moisture, it kinda sits around and moisturize all through the night as i sleep. My lines disappear, making me look younger and flawless in the morning, the product is a little tacky, i do not mind, but some people might gross out after use as it never fully absorbs...."

That was enough to get a reaction out of me. What a blatant ignorant endorsement !!!!

When a product sits for hours on your skin it is OCCLUSIVE the skin cannot breath.

There is room for that in the medical field, not in cosmetic treatments.

What happens then, when there is over usage of occlusive cosmetics ?

Over a period of time, occlusive cosmetic products accelerate the aging process of the skin.

The skin will compensate by pumping moisture to the surface of the skin from deeper epidermis depleting moisture storage therefore accelerating the dehydration, formation of wrinkles, dryness, sagging, in few words premature aging of the skin.

At first it looks good all the moisture filling up, damage will not happen over night, the skin will overwork and finally give up, 10 years later it's a disaster.
By then, the damage is done. A very costly repair.
If sleeping well, being rested, having a normal natural life doesn't take care of the dark circles, nothing else WILL, only make up will do the trick.

Actually, nothing should be put under the soft tissue of the eyes.

A plastic Surgeon told me once, in Los Angeles, how he removes peas size of p..c. products that had filtered into the eye socket when he opens and operates in the eye area. Yuck!

Hope you find the article instructive.
